FISHING
Hathaway Lake is a calm 5 km. long lake with good fishing for rainbow
trout that average 2 ½ lbs and for lake trout.
Trolling, spin casting and fly fishing are all effective.
Ice is usually off the lake around the first week in May.
The lake is stocked annually with 10,000 rainbow yearlings.
Angler usage is low. There are no motor restrictions but
launching at the resort is limited to small boats because the water is
shallow at the launch. The area is known for the best small
lake fishing in British Columbia so there are countless other lakes to
fish or explore within an hours drive of the resort. Some
are walk-in lakes and are great for float tubes and fly fishing. The
best fishing in Hathaway Lake is typically May and June and then again
in September..
